Service Updates

September 11th, 2023: Tofino Bus has added service for the Thanksgiving weekend. Our last day for the summer season will now be October 9th 2023.

August 15th 2023: All-day road closures have been added to the construction area near Cameron Lake on August 17th, and August 24th 2023. As a result, we have had to cancel our buses for those dates. In addition, the Southbound bus from Tofino to Victoria on August 18th, and August 25th have also been cancelled. Buses going Northbound from Victoria to Tofino on the 18th & 25th will operate as scheduled. Passengers booked on the cancelled departures will be contacted by our staff, or alternatively if you read these notice before we have a chance to contact you, you are welcome to email us at: info@tofinobus.com (please include your transaction number), to find out your options.

July 26th 2023: Due to more changes to the road closures near Cameron Lake, Tofino Bus has made additional changes to it’s departure times on Thursdays and Fridays from July 27th to August 14th, in order to make sure the bus is able to pass through the very limited time the highway is open. There is a chance this schedule may be extended past August 14th, depending on the status of the road closures and construction. *Modified schedule has been extended until August 31st.*

July 12th 2023: Due to road closures on the highway near Cameron Lake, Tofino Bus has adjusted it’s departure times starting July 17th, 2023.

July 12th, 2023: The bus stop in Ucluelet has been moved to a new location.
New Ucluelet stop: Ucluelet – Cedar Road InterCity Bus Stop ~ Stop is located at the InterCity bus stop on the corner of Cedar Road and Park Lane, and across the street from Cedar Road Parking. Bus will pull up to the “bus stop” sign on Cedar Road. Same stop both directions of travel. (Mailing address: 1645 Cedar Road, Ucluelet BC).

Most stops on the VI Connector and Tofino Bus services are reservation only (pre-reservation is required for the bus to stop at that location). We recommend that all passengers pre-reserve their tickets whenever possible to ensure that they have a guaranteed seat onboard the bus.

Reservation & Walkup Locations

Tofino Bus and VI Connector will be operating as a reservation only service this summer. All locations (except the four listed in the walkup section below), require a pre-reservation or the bus will not stop at that location. Pre-reservation is available on our website and purchase can be made using a credit card or a debit VISA/debit MasterCard.

Walkup tickets are not eligible for any of our sale prices or discounted rates, for the cheapest ticket prices, pre-reservation is required. All walkup tickets must be purchased using a credit card or debit VISA card, walkup tickets cannot be purchased with cash. (*Exception: Victoria Bus Depot allows the walkup purchase of all ticket types and prices including discounted rates, from the staff at the bus counters inside the depot. This location also allows purchase with Cash.)
